HattiesburgArts Council offers educational and therapeutic programs by offering on-site art activities at The Arc Rise and Shine of Southern Mississippi, and Forrest County Drug Court.

Abigail Lenz Allen says, "There is no way for me to express how proud I am of these amazing artists at The Arc and Drug Court! This is my favorite part of the week... Hattiesburg Arts Council has continued to sponsor these programs, going on for eight years now. For this, I am truly grateful."

The Arc

Each June the Hattiesburg ARts Council hosts City Summer Camps in the arts whivh may include visual art, music, dance, and theatre free of charge to children attendance at various public schools and area community centers.
Our summer camps give students a creative outlet and help nurture their artisitic growth. National data suggests that working artistically and learning about creative problem-solving leads to great skills in other areas, like math and science. HAC also supports local art teachers and artists by giving them summer employment opportunities.
